Our Team

Daniel Peimbert is the Founder and CEO of Great Start Canada. He is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and Certified Education Agent. Daniel moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada as an international student when he was 18 years old after completing his high school in Mexico. He holds a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Red River College and a Certificate in Immigration Law from the University of British Columbia. In addition, he has attended the University of Manitoba where he has studied various courses in social sciences.

As an immigrant himself, he knows firsthand the importance of having a viable immigration strategy. For this reason, he is constantly studying, taking courses, and upgrading his knowledge and skills in the immigration and education fields to provide his clients with the professional advice and representation they deserve.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys cooking for friends & family, traveling, swimming, and reading.

    If you wish to proceed with our representation within the next 15 (fifteen) days after the initial consultation, we offer you a discount for the same amount paid applicable to the balance of our professional fees.

    • How long is the consultation?

    The initial consultation has a duration of up to 60 minutes and is done in-person ((only in Winnipeg) or video call via Zoom.

    At the end of the consultation, you will know what steps you need to take!

    • Purpose of a Consultation

    During the consultation, Daniel Peimbert, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) will:

    • Analyze your case and evaluate your profile
    • Assess your eligibility based on your personal goals in Canada
    • Discuss any obstacles that may hinder your application and determine the best solution to overcome them
    • Determine the best solution if you have applied either on your own or with another representative
    • Offer a second opinion on applications already filed and determine the best way to proceed, whether it is best to submit additional information, withdraw the application, or wait for a decision.

    At the end of the consultation, you will know what steps you need to take!

    • What Is Not Discussed During a Consultation
    • Applications and supporting documents are not normally reviewed during a consultation. However, the RCIC may ask you for information about specific documents.
    • An RCIC does not assist with the completion of application forms during a consultation.
    • An RCIC does not give clients a document checklist for any type of application during a consultation. If you choose to retain us to assist you with your application, a document checklist will be provided to you at this time.
    • Our Promise

    We will ALWAYS treat you fairly and provide you with an honest opinion on your case. We only retain clients that we believe have a good chance of approval, although we can never guarantee approvals as immigration decisions are always up to the immigration officers' discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

1. How is the consultation delivered?

The consultation can be done via Zoom video call (clients inside and outside Canada).

2. What can I do to get ready for my consultation?

Before your consultation, you will receive the consultation contract as well as a questionnaire that must be completed at least 24 hours before your consultation.

If the consultation is done via Zoom, we recommend you the following steps:

  • Ensure your microphone and speakers or headphones are working properly;
  • Install Zoom, if you don’t have it on your device: https://zoom.us/download;
  • We recommend connecting using a computer or laptop, however, you can also connect using a phone or tablet;
  • Test your equipment by clicking the following link: https://zoom.us/test;
  • Make sure you have a strong internet connection.

At the time of the consultation:

  • Access the Zoom link provided in the consultation confirmation email at least 5 minutes before the established date and time;
  • Indicate your full name upon connection;
  • Install yourself in a quiet area to avoid noise and distractions during the consultation.

3. What happens If I am late for my consultation?

We ask that you inform us as soon as possible via email or by phone. We will only wait for you for 15 minutes. The time missed will not be compensated as we have other clients already scheduled.

4. What If I need to re-schedule my consultation?

You are welcome to re-schedule your consultation directly on the confirmation email received, provided is done at least 48 hours before the scheduled consultation time.

5. What If I need to cancel my consultation?

You can cancel your consultation at least 48 hours before the scheduled time. An administration fee of CAD $100.00 will be deducted and you will receive the rest.

Cancellations made after 48 hours, will not be reimbursed. 

6. If I choose to proceed with your representation after the consultation, Do I get a discount?

Yes, the cost of the consultation can be deducted from the balance of professional fees should you wish to proceed within the next 5 calendar days.

7. What happens If I still have questions after the 60 minute consultation?

You have the option to proceed with our full representation or pay for a second consultation.

8. Can I invite another person to my consultation?

During the consultation, we will talk to the principal applicant and spouse/partner (if applicable). You are welcome to invite someone else to join your consultation and if so, it would be deemed to be an authorization to disclose your personal information to your guest. The consultation is personal. (we would not be able to evaluate your guests' profile, for instance).

9. What information should I have handy during the consultation?

You will receive the consultation contract as well as a questionnaire where you can upload your CV/resume. It is always a good idea to have any relevant documents handy such as your CV/resume, language test scores, passport, academic documents, etc.
